First Chapter of "Blade of Agony" Released

This news may be a bit old, having happened a few days ago on the 12th of November, but it's still worth mentioning. The first chapter of the Wolfenstien Themed Mega-Wad, Blade of Agony, has been officially released!

The 7-level WAD can be better described as a complete game unto itself, considering the fact that it includes incredible, never before seen features in a Doom WAD, such as interactive NPC's, voice acting, cutscenes, and orchestrated music.

Also, the game is made for GZDoom, meaning smoke and fog effects, weather, dynamic lighting and sound, and other cutting-edge tools to create a classic homage to the original Wolfenstien.

Blade of Agony's development started in February of 2015, and was announced August 1st. The game was created by some of the wonderful people at Realm 667 and others, and a full list of their names can be found here.

BOA includes levels that recreate and allow you to participate in historic battles, explore cities, and enjoy the detailed maps to the fullest with the power of the modern GZDoom engine.

You play as the blonde-haired, large-muscled protagonist of the first Wolfenstien games, BJ Blazkowitz, and your task is not as simple as "kill everybody" like usual. This game requires complex analysis of levels, and different strategies if you wish to survive.

The classic villains are back, including cyborg Hitler, and you are introduced to a charming sidekick, Cpt. Dirty Douglas Blake, as well as secondary characters and an immersive story line that includes voice-acted dialogue.

If this game sounds cool to you, pick it up from their site under the "Download" tab here.

Have fun, and try not to get your ass kicked by Cyborg Fuhrer.
